For fabric maintenance, washing, type of fabric please follow the maintenance procedures outlined in the technical data sheets of product and upholstery that accompanies each product. Try to distribute your weight as evenly as possible; don’t sit too far forward on the bottom cushions to help prevent creases appearing. You should also plump sofa cushions daily and reverse them, if possible, to encourage even wear and prevent creases and wrinkles. Because dust and dirt cause fabric to wear faster, we recommend vacuuming regularly with an upholstery attachment,  this will prevent frequent cycles of  maintenance and  washing Use your vacuum to clear away any dust and surface dirt from your sofa, especially between the fabric casings and cushions. Use the soft brush attachment to be as gentle possible on your sofa’s upholstery. Keep your sofa out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources. In removing your covers  you must pay attention in detaching the Velcro; do not use excessive force when pulling the cover  as this can damage the velvet layer of the padding. Seat and back cushions are easily removable by unfastening the zips.

For leather maintenance, please follow the maintenance procedures outlined in the technical data sheets of product and upholstery that accompanies each product. Try to distribute your weight as evenly as possible; don’t sit too far forward on the bottom cushions to help prevent creases appearing. You should also plump sofa cushions daily and reverse them, if possible, to encourage even wear and prevent creases and wrinkles. Light creases may form on the leather  covering following the natural settling of the padding. These creases are to be considered absolutely normal and depend on the settling of the leather during the initial 3 months of normal use. For stains and dirt: remove the substance delicately from the surface using absorbent paper, taking care not exert pressure to prevent the dirt from entering the pores of the leather. Use a clean cloth, soaked in a very dilute solution of neutral soap, rubbing delicately working from the outside towards the center of the stain. Only use water and colorless  mild soap. Do not use any cleaning agent or alcohol, acetone, ammonia, wax or polishing spray. Do not use any nourishing substance, the modern leather doesn’t require any nourishing. Keep your  leather sofa out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources. Avoid resting newspapers and magazines on the surface of your leather furniture .Printers’ inks can leach into the leather under prolonged contact with newsprint or glossy magazine covers. Don’t let non-colour fast material come in contact with your leather, especially jeans. DO NOT rub! Don’t worry about small scratches and scuffs. Small scratches in leather furniture often heal over time and become less noticeable. It is recommended to carefully follow the instructions for maintenance and care outlined in our technical data sheet. Doimo Salotti declines all responsibility in case of damages caused by wrong cleaning and/or improper maintenance and use of the covers. Leather pieces do not present a smooth and homogeneous surface, but are instead characterized by a more or less pronounced roughness, which varies with their different parts as well as with the markedness of the grain. In addition, since the animals tend to wound themselves in the enclosures, the leather must present scarring, have a natural appearance, and it must not look polished or smoothed out. The real leather is a natural product, therefore the signs and imperfections on its surface, such as wrinkles, veins, scars and scratches as well as color differences are not to be considered defects but typical characteristics that enhance the beauty of the real leather and distinguish it from synthetic leather and other artificial products.
